Quick Tip: Smooth Streaming suddenly stops working

A few days ago I noticed that smooth streaming had stopped working in my development machine. Every time I tried to GET a manifest, I received the infamous HTTP Error 500.0 – Internal Server Error screen. My first try to fix this was, obviously, reinstalling the IIS Media Services package.
