Hi guys,
In this article you will found an introduction to Microsoft Robotics.
What is Microsoft® Robotics Developer Studio (RDS)? It is a Windows-based environment to create robotics applications for a differences hardware platforms. Service-oriented runtime. Also MRDS includes a several examples like environment simulation, tutorials.
The latest realease for now is (CTP) version published on April 2008. You can download it from the following url: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=EB00C558-2163-45A5-BEFE-531AD48BC525&displaylang=en
Four weeks ago I started working on a project that use this technology and it is really awesome which things you can do.
One of the tasks that I worked was creating Functional Test for a application that use Dss and Ccr.
Microsoft Robotics has an API called DssTest so that you can implements a test as a service.
For more information about Dss and Ccr you can visit the blog of my friend Angel J Lopez, that he has written two applications using Dss one of them managed from VPL (Visual Program Language). I’m preparing my next post how step by step a create a test service. I hope publish soon.
For now here we are some screenshots of Microsoft Simulation Enviroments:
