Hi all,

The world are becoming more LIVE, today with the “Windows Live” family are services to provide rich Web applications available as Live Messenger to your application, Virtual Earth, Windows Live ID platform, Windows Live Delegated APIs, Live Search API to any developer. During the latest months I have worked for the DPE team where I developed several samples to the Microsoft PDC08. These samples show features and capabilities of the Live Services Framework (Live Mesh).

To start with this post I’d like talk about what is Live Mesh and its Live Operating Environment. Live Mesh is a software + service platform experience that allows users to sync folders, data, installing Live Mesh software in all his devices seamlessly through in the internet.

LOE (Live Operation Environment) is a service composition that aggregates a number of services to provide a resource-oriented programming model. I mean a Live Operation Environment provides a common set of storage, data, synchronization, and communication services that are exposed to developers as HTTP endpoints. The Live Operating Environments seamlessly synchronizes data and applications among users and devices. Even if a user or device is offline, once it comes online, the Live Framework runtime services synchronize the resources.

Regarding on Live Mesh in the following screenshot I’m showing a “Live Desktop” where you can upload files, share them with friends, and access them from the web. Also you can add a device to your live mesh account in order to have folders sync automatically between all your devices to do this you’ll need to download and install the Live Mesh Client. And if you have more than one device you can connect remotely to it.
