Process Guidance Print Tool

Looking for a printable version of MSF Process Guidance? This tool generates single html printer-friendly documents from Process Guidance source files.
Simply browse for the ‘Source’ folder of the Process Guidance you want to print, select the documents you want (Workstreams, Activities, WorkProducts, Work Items and/or Roles) and you’re done!

Then, it’s really easy to create a Microsoft Word document with a Table of Contents ready to be printed! Check the readme file for more details and instructions.

Release Notes

  • Tested with MSF for CMMI Process Improvement - Process Guidance v51125.00.
  • It may also work with MSF for Agile Development!
  • The tool is still being enhanced but current release is stable and fully functional.

Customization

  • You may edit the stylesheet used to create the documents.

Known Issues

  • With MSF for CMMI v51125.00, images for WorkProducts are not displayed correctly.

    Thanks for the tool. It worked very well with
    MSFforCMMIProcessImpBetaPG-51125.00. I am getting full documentatin, great.

    However hope I am not getting full doc with Agile , as follows
    Activities - 6 pages
    work items - 16pages
    work streams - 24 pages

    Can you please tell me the correct version of Agile for doumentation.Any updates.

    Hi Ramesh,
    I’ve successfully tested it with MSF Agile v100 and v100.1 and worked OK. Tried with v100.2 but it doesn’t include a Source folder.

    I’m looking for “for a printable version of MSF Process Guidance” or a tool that can do that with the download.

    All google results lead to this page and that means you Mariano Szklanny!! ;-)

    So what happened to the download link on this page???

    It now says Southworks is “unregistered”.

    Where can I get the tool now?

    Hi Mariano,

    Thank you for fixing the link! I downloaded it and tried it.

    Here is what happened. I get a message “Resource error”.. “invalid token”.

    10:16 AM - —-GENERATION STARTED—-
    10:16 AM - Resource error has occured and no fallback has been provided: Invalid token

    It looks like the process found the ProcessGuidanceMap.xml file ok and the program did create 3 subdirectories in the destination path.

    But other than that, I don’t know what killed it.

    Any ideas?
